A second group of volunteers from the Arab village of Abu Gosh has completed the Hadassah Medical Center’s 80-hour training course to become health promoters in their home village.
The Project for the Promotion of Women’s Health is an outgrowth of Hadassah’s vision to create partnerships with different communities. The initiative, with funding from the L’Oreal Foundation, operates under the auspices of our Patricia and Russell Fleischman Women’s Health Center. As the volunteers expressed at their graduation ceremony, the program has brought about change in their lives, empowering and educating them, and helping them to bring about improvements in their communities.
